Like any other year or season 2021 has been that year or that season. A year of learning and unlearning. Not that learning and unlearning is only what she does throughout all seasons but its one of many things that she does and it has been helpful in her personal development. Looking back from the beginning of last year there are so many things that happened to her and when she looks at those events, she can see the fingerprints and the footprints of God. Another remarkable thing that she experienced was in November last year, she witnessed her favorite scripture in the bible coming alive in her life. She has created a whole lot of memories around this scripture, she recalls two different farewell speeches to her former colleagues where she quoted this scripture because of its timeless relevance to anybody who believes in God. It is also a scripture that reveals God’s fairness towards people. It was through pondering on this scripture that she understood all people have their place in this world. Its her prayer that everybody will come to realize and believe that we all have a piece allocated for us in this pie.
Ecclesiastes 9:11 New King James Version – I returned and saw under the sun that— The race is not to the swift, Nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to men of understanding, nor favor to men of skill; But time and chance happen to them all.
She listened to another powerful man of God preaching, he said something that stuck with her. He said you can lose all things in life but make sure that you do not loose time. If you loose money as long as you live you can still make more, or if you lose a car, you can still buy another one, but if you loose time it can not be restored back. And he continued and said if you have lost time, you have actually lost a unit of your destiny. This was a revelation to her. This propelled her to jealously evaluate how she uses her time; she is not there yet but its important that she accounts for her time.
The scripture above is taken from the book that is believed to be written by the wisest historical king Solomon. She is amazed that the King during that time which is long time ago, he managed to grasp the truth that so many of us are still struggling to comprehend fully today. She came to understand that God in His wisdom knew how the worldly systems will work. He went ahead and prepared his people so that they are not discouraged by the injustices of this world. What you have and have acquired in this this life does not guarantee anything. It may seem like you qualify or you deserve it in the “perfect world “, to your surprise you will shocked when the race is not won by the swift, nor the battle by the strong. You ask yourself why? The systems of this world have been designed to favour certain people who conform to certain standards of this world. And the question she has is: what are you going to do to be favored? Will you manipulate processes? will you compromise your values? well that’s if you have values, will you follow suit and conform to set standards? Romans 12:2 – Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world…………
One beautiful thing that she has learnt from this scripture is that it makes you face or be awaken to our everyday realities but at the same time it reveals an abundance of possibilities that we have at our disposal. We may not have what we should have had, but we have time. Time to do it again, a chance to start all over again, we have time to build our profiles so that we are aligned, we have an opportunity to try it again with more passion and determination, we have time and chance to do what we need to do and do it better this time around. If the justice system of this world has failed you, be assured that the heavenly justice system is operational and very effective, it will surely attend to your case.
Dear reader this is written out of love for all of us to forget about the things that did not work out in the last season but welcome the new season with optimism and courage. Time and chance have been given to us to do even more better than last time.
Stay Blessed
