Acts 9:20 At once he began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God. 21 All those who heard him were astonished and asked, “Isn’t he the man who raised havoc in Jerusalem among those who call on this name? And hasn’t he come here to take them as prisoners to the chief priests?”22 Yet Saul grew more and more powerful and baffled the Jews living in Damascus by proving that Jesus is the Messiah.
Dear reader we are in the season where God is doing what is so unusual than your norm, God is bringing you as an extra ordinary person that your surrounding is not used to, you are going to be a confusion and a wonder to a lot of people, especially those who are not aligned with the will of God, this time is God’s time to reveal who He preordained you to be.
The scripture above talks about Saul’s conversion, Saul before being Paul was a popular man, because of his mission to kill Christians, what he was doing was not in the will of God and yet it seemed like He was succeeding in it. Now remember that succeeding in wrong doing does not mean that you are on the right track, like grass you will soon wither and it will be all over, so do not envy the success of wrong doers, because it is for a moment as opposed to right doing that has lifetime rewards.
Who is Saul in this context?
Anybody who is against the will of God, Saul can be found in the family, Saul can be found in the work place, you can meet Saul in the flight, Saul is in the church, Saul can be anywhere, you can be a Saul, Saul can be a total stranger that you can meet as you go about minding your own business.
Who is Paul in this context?
Anybody who has experienced the hand of God and is in line with the will of God, anyone who is not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus, anybody who is all about making an impact in the body of Christ and in the world. Paul does not hide that he was once a Saul but God transformed him and made Him a better person, he is so bold that everybody knows his story.
It’s possible that you are against who you supposed to be because you do not know better, I really believe that when you know better you will do better, so open up to the sharing of the good news, read the word of God more, read transformational books, pray, meditate and think about positive things.
If you are Saul just know that your time is up, God wants to do a new thing in your life, he now wants to reveal His glory through you, are you ready to be a better person? are you ready to be changed and be the reflector of the splendour of God ? are you ready to be insulted and be given names because you are a chosen vessel? are you ready to step out of your comfort zone and live the life you were created to live?
God is about to promote you, God is about to elevate you and put you on a new pedestal, and as He does this, some people are not going to be happy, some people are not ready to embrace the new you, others will disrespect you. Like Paul’s conversion was not a sweet taste to so many, so are you in this season of transformation, you are not going to be everybody’s favourite, joy and pride, but allow God to make you his own.
What to do if people do not believe that your conversion is real?
What is real will stand the test of times, and never apologize for living your truth.
If they say you got a promotion because you were sleeping with your boss, It might hurt a little bit but do not let it bring you down, continue to flourish, continue to shine, allow God to finish the good job that He has started in you, one day everybody will know that you got the job because of your merit.
Your conversion is not easy for anybody as much as it is not easy for you, learn to be kinder to yourself and walk your new path with your head held up high and remember that God is holding your hand.
